Okay the painting has a meaning in our home. When I stopped working to stay at home and care for our special needs child I used the last paycheck to buy the painting. I have a degree in Art History, loved this painting and at the time there were three of us in the family. Upon arrival my 2 year old said “Daddy, Mommy, Me”. My husband and I were blown away at the profound connection our son had with the image … until … we burst out laughing as our boy was pointing to the pear at the right as being me! What we laughed, “you see mommy with a big “you-know-what”? Years later I have to thank J.Lo, the Kardashian’s and others who have made a huge impact on positive beauty image in that regard.
